Flapping Homogenizers/ Stomachers
Flapping Homogeniser, also known as a Stomacher, is a paddle-based instrument designed for gentle, contamination-free homogenisation of solid samples in sterile bags. Widely used across food microbiology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and clinical laboratories, it extracts bacteria and microorganisms from solid sample surfaces without destruction or heating. Disposable sterile bags eliminate cross-contamination between samples and remove the need for instrument cleaning between runs.

The sample and diluent are placed into a sealed sterile bag and loaded into the instrument chamber. Two paddles apply rhythmic pressure, shaking, and vibration at variable speeds of 1 to 10 strokes per second, rapidly bringing contents to a homogeneous state. Microprocessor-controlled flapping speed and programmable working time from 1 second to 59 minutes 59 seconds ensure precise, reproducible processing. A visible window door allows continuous observation of the homogenisation cycle without interruption.
The maintenance-free brushless DC motor and stainless steel housing ensure long-term operational durability. The Pro variant features parallel paddles that stop at the same position for consistent bag seating, a safety drip tray, and adjustable blending power. Quick-remove paddles simplify chamber cleaning, while digital and analogue interfaces support remote control and process monitoring across routine and regulated laboratory workflows.
