The Handheld Homogeniser is a lightweight, single-hand-operated instrument engineered for mixing, emulsification, shredding, and dispersion of small laboratory samples. Compact and ergonomically designed, it offers a practical solution for researchers working across biological, pharmaceutical, and chemical laboratory environments. Its interchangeable autoclavable stainless steel dispersing shafts accommodate a broad range of sample volumes, making it a versatile choice for routine and specialised homogenisation tasks.
The homogeniser operates via a high-speed motor with variable speed control, delivering intense mechanical shear through a submerged dispersing shaft. Rotor motion within the sample generates rapid disruption, dispersion, and emulsification of the material without requiring sample transfer to a separate vessel. All wetted components are constructed from 316L stainless steel and PTFE, ensuring compatibility with aggressive chemical solutions. Dispersing shafts are fully interchangeable and easily removed for autoclaving or cleaning between sample runs, effectively preventing cross-contamination.
Consistent homogenisation is achieved across diverse sample types, including tumour tissue, plant and animal material, pharmaceutical tablets, cell suspensions, and solid materials. The lightweight body ensures comfortable extended use, while the high-speed motor provides sufficient mechanical power for thorough and reproducible sample disruption. The instrument is supplied as a complete set, including thehomogeniserr, dispersing shaft, and stand, making it immediately ready for use upon receipt.
